AHRC-funded PhD student at the universities of Southampton & Cardiff. My thesis looks at how phenomenologies of pregnancy might enrich our understanding of the Heideggerian concept of Dasein as Being-towards-Death.

Prior research: psychology of religion (comparing different religious groups and religious nones on pilgrimages and in sacred spaces); philosophy of aesthetics, particularly with regard to makeup and the concept of frivolity.

Other research interests: phenomenology of disability / chronic illness and its implications for questions of selfhood.
