Born and raised in İskenderun, Turkey, I completed my graduation from the Department of Philosophy at Bilkent University in the capital of Turkey (Ankara). I then pursued my master degree at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, and I have been working as a research assistant at the same university since 2013.

My motto is to understand the mind, for which we must follow the brain and behavioral sciences. I also have a keen interest in the nature and origin of the alleged differences among philosophical traditions such as pragmatism, continental philosophy, postmodernism, analytical philosophy, and naturalism. I have a particular interest in Quine, Churchland, and Kuhn.
I believe that philosophy should be allied with sciences in the broadest possible sense. I think the correct approach is to write deeply and sophisticatedly. I want to tackle deep problems. In my opinion, a young philosopher should enthusiastically defend her position. Alternatively, one should choose a topic that she cannot help but enthusiastically defend.
