Born and raised in İskenderun, Turkey, I completed my graduation from the Department of Philosophy at Bilkent University in the capital of Turkey (Ankara). I then pursued my master degree at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, and I have been working as a research assistant at the same university since 2013.
