Shadi Heidarifar (Roseman University College of Medicine (RUCOM))

My work, broadly construed, is in bioethics, AI ethics, neuroethics, and philosophy of medicine with a particular focus on questions concerning medicine, technology, and mind. Much of my current research examines how non-ideal social, material, and technological conditions shape subjectivity, reproductive possibilities, and conscious experience. I pursue these questions through work on cosmetic gynecology and embodied subjectivity, assisted reproductive technologies and transnational determinants of health, and sexual trauma and the structure of conscious experience.
