Shailesh Kumar is an author, researcher, and teacher of public law. Presently, he is a DPhil candidate and a Commonwealth Scholar (funded by the UK govt.) working at the School of Law, Birkbeck College, University of London. His current research project is an empirical study of the operation of legal 'reforms' dealing with sexual violence against children in India. His research interests are Criminology & Social Policy, Socio-legal Studies, Legal Anthropology, Law & Visual Cultures, Constitutional & Administrative Law, and Social Research Methods.
