Dr Shannon Brandt Ford is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Curtin University in Perth, Australia. He is also currently the Course Coordinator for both the International Relations Undergraduate Major and the Graduate Program in International Relations and National Security. Dr Ford is a Board Member of the International Society of Military Ethics (ISME) and a Faculty Affiliate with the Program on Cybersecurity and Internet Governance at Indiana University. Previously, Dr Ford was a Visiting Fellow at the University of New South Wales Canberra and a Research Fellow with the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics. He has taught a range of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects at Curtin University, the Australian National University, Charles Sturt University, and the Australian Defence Force Academy. Dr Ford completed his PhD at the Australian National University in 2017. His dissertation is titled: Security Institutions, Use of Force and the State: A Moral Framework. His research has been published in the Journal of Military Ethics, Criminal Justice Ethics, Journal of Cyber Policy, International Journal of Applied Philosophy, Quartz, The Conversation, and The Interpreter.
