I am an Assistant Professor (Special Appointment) at Hiroshima University, Japan, specializing in Normative and Applied Ethics. Trained as a philosopher, my works explore issues related to egalitarian justice, disability, and well-being. I also have a research interest in Science, Technology, and Society (STS), broadly construed, focusing on the ethicists’ contribution to the contemporary normative discussion about emerging science and technology.

A first-gen university graduate born and raised in a rural community in Northern Japan, I earned my PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2022, following a BA and an MSc from UTokyo.
