    While working on the edition of Max Weber’s lecture notes on Praktische Nationalökonomie we have identified passages that were unlike the others. In some of these passages, Weber did not reference his sources at all; or if he did give references, he sometimes did so incorrectly. The difficulty was identifying those text parts with criteria beside intuition. In this miscellany, we describe how we found valid indicators that aim to assist editors with identifying such passages.

    The National Library of Finland and the Von Wright and Wittgenstein Archives at the University of Helsinki keep the collected correspondence of Georg Henrik von Wright, Wittgenstein’s friend and successor at Cambridge and one of the three literary executors of Wittgenstein’s Nachlass.
