Sophie Lesueur

Born in 1966, I first studied political philosophy at the Lyon Institute of Political Studies between 1987 and 1990. In 1997, I decided to add to my knowledge by enrolling for a philosophy degree at Nanterre, where I took François Laruelle's introductory course on Non-philosophy. He was my supervisor for my Masters 1 and 2, and then for my thesis, which I defended in 2008. Entitled Non-philosophie du sujet politique, it has been published in its definitive form in 2021. Since 2008, I have been pursuing my research as an independent researcher in the development and extension of François Laruelle's non-philosophical thinking. In particular, I'm exploring a number of issues and concrete implications that F. Laruelle evokes at various points in his work, without however developing or making them explicit ; I also wish to reveal the concrete existential declensions of this thought and posture. On the basis of my own theoretical and practical experience of Non-philosophy, I intend to leave certain aspects of traditional Western philosophical thought behind once and for all, and move forward as a kind of bridgehead even further towards and into the heart of radically different thought and practice.
