My main interests are in the Philosophy of Action, Perception, and Cognitive Science with research focusing on automaticity, expertise, and the aesthetics of skill. I also run a psychology lab studying visual search and attention. My primary inspiration comes from a fascination with Flow States. I believe that the metaphysics and aesthetics of what we colloquially call 'effortless action' are windows into a collectively loved (though enigmatic) feature of the human experience. This inspiration also operates in my Montessori-Inspired teaching style. See more at: www.philosivy.com
