I work on ethical, policy, and methodological issues at the intersection of philosophy of science and biomedical research ethics.

I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario and my B.A. in philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am currently a faculty member at the Harvard Center for Bioethics and a research scientist in the Department of Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I previously held a research fellowship in the Biomedical Ethics Unit at McGill University and a visiting scholarship at the University of Oxford.
