I hold a PhD in Experimental Physics from ETH Zurich (1988) and have extensive professional experience in risk analysis. After retiring, I completed a degree in Philosophy at the University of Zurich (2019). My research focuses on the intersection of the foundations of physics and the philosophy of mind, with a particular interest in the emergent nature of time and the critical analysis of metaphysical assumptions in physical theories.
