Steven Foertsch

I am a social theorist at Nebraska Wesleyan University. My research focuses on the formation of group epistemology, tracing the development of ideology and deviance across diverse belief systems including Transhumanism, organizational Satanism, Mahāyāna Buddhism, QAnon, and Christofascism. These projects are informed by my earlier background in policy with the United Nations and AmeriCorps. My recent analyses and commentaries have appeared in various national human rights outlets, political commentary platforms such as CounterPunch, and GWU’s Illiberalism Studies Program series Frontiers of American Reaction.
