Steven Foertsch

I am a social/sociolegal theorist at Nebraska Wesleyan University and Deputy EIC of an international peer-reviewed journal on minority belief systems. My research explores the formation of group epistemology, tracing how ideology and deviance interface with state governance. This work spans diverse movements including Transhumanism, organizational Satanism, Mahāyāna Buddhism, QAnon, and Christofascism. Drawing on a policy background in the United Nations and AmeriCorps, my recent analyses appear in the Southern Poverty Law Center, CounterPunch, and George Washington University's Illiberalism Studies Program's Frontiers of American Reaction.
