Theodore Gracyk is Professor of Philosophy at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He was co-editor of The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism from 2013 to 2023. He is the author of several philosophical books on music, including Rhythm and Noise: An Aesthetics of Rock Music (Duke University Press, 1996) and On Music (Routledge, 2013). He received the 2023 Outstanding Monograph Prize of the American Society for Aesthetics for Making Meaning with Popular Song: Philosophical Essays (Bloomsbury Academic, 2022).
