Thom Brooks is Dean of Durham Law School & Professor of Law and Government at Durham University, and an affiliated member in Philosophy and Government departments. His books include 'Becoming British: UK Citizenship Examined' (2016), 'Rawls's Political Liberalism' (co-edited Martha Nussbaum, 2015), 'Hegel's Political Philosophy: A Systematic Reading of the Philosophy of Right' (2d 2013), 'Punishment' (2012) and 'The Global Justice Reader' (2008). He is the founding editor of the Journal of Moral Philosophy. He has held visiting appointments at Oxford, St Andrews, Uppsala and Yale.
