I'm a Senior Research Fellow based in the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Oxford. I'm also Editor of the Journal of Practical Ethics and a Hugh Price Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford.

My research lies in practical and normative ethics and currently focuses on the ethics of using medical interventions to achieve social objectives, such as crime prevention and infectious disease control.
