Thornton Lockwood is Professor of Philosophy at Quinnipiac University (with a joint appointment in Environmental Studies). His teaching interests include global justice, environmental ethics, and the philosophy of war and peace. He is currently working on a monograph that reconstructs Aristotle's environmental philosophy, tentatively titled Animals in the City by Nature: Aristotle’s Environmental Philosophy. For 2022–23 he was a Visiting Fellow at the Classics Faculty and Clare Hall, Cambridge University, and for spring 2023, Professeur invité at Université Paris I.
