I'm a specialist in ancient philosophy. Epicureanism is my main focus, but I've published on a variety of other figures and topics, such as the Cyrenaics, Sextus Empiricus, the Stoics, the atomist and sophist Anaxarchus, the spurious Platonic dialogue the Axiochus, Aristotle's cosmology, and Plato's afterlife myth in the Gorgias. Ancient ethics and ancient views on freedom and determinism are two of my primary interests.
