I am an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the University of California, Davis. Previously, I was an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Purdue University (2013-14). I work in normative and practical ethics, as well as bioethics. Much of my work stems from my dissertation, The Duty to Adopt, where I argued that prospective parents have a moral duty, akin to the duty to rescue, to adopt children rather than procreate.
