Touraj BaniRostam is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Computer Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence program at the University of Niagara Falls Canada. His research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and psychology. His current work focuses on embodied cognition, selfhood, meaning, consciousness, explainable AI, and the conceptual foundations of intelligent systems. He is the creator of the Rethinking Mind research project, which examines the historical evolution of theories of mind from ancient philosophy to contemporary AI.
