I am primarily interested in social and political philosophy and aesthetics in contemporary Continental philosophy and in the history of philosophy more broadly. Before joining the faculty at Farmingdale in 2017, I taught at Vassar College, New York University, the Pratt Institute, and SUNY Stony Brook, and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Freiburg in Germany. I also studied and researched contemporary European philosophy in Germany, France, and Italy through grants from the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the DAAD, the Fulbright Commission, and the Max Kade Institute.
