I teach Philosophy and Religion at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. I mainly work on late medieval and early modern philosophy. My main interest is the way in which medieval explanatory notions were variously rejected, adapted, and appropriated during the early modern period. My published work primarily engages with Descartes, Hume, and Shepherd. I also coedited The Cartesian Mind with Jorge Secada and Cecilia Wee.
