I am an MPhil Philosophy student at the University of St Andrews.
My primary research interests lie in the philosophy of logic. I am interested particularly in the invariance theories of logicality and their potential applications on a diverse range of logical systems and languages. My primary research interests lie in the philosophy of logic. I am interested particularly in the invariance theories of logicality and their potential applications on a diverse range of logical systems and languages. Currently, I am working on the logicality of modal operators with a focus on propositional normal modal logics interpreted in Kripke semantics (under the supervision of Dr. Alessandro Rossi and Prof. Franz Berto). In my future work, I would like to focus on the logicality of operators in (a) non-classical many-valued logics as well as (b) normal and non-normal modal logics (interpreted in more general semantics than Kripke semantics such as the algebraic and neighborhood semantics) and see what different notions of structural invariance yield as a result. I am curious to explore the potentials of permutation/isomorphism invariance when it comes to (a) and bisimulation invariance when it comes to (b).
My secondary interests are in the philosophy of mathematics and metaphysics, broadly construed. Finally, I enjoy reading and thinking about the issues in the philosophy of mind and phenomenology,
especially about conscious experience.
