Valentina Gentile is Associate Professor of Political Philosophy at LUISS University. From 2019 to 2024 she was Assistant Professor at the same university. From 2016 to 2019, she was visiting professor at the University of Antwerp, where she held a chair in "Interreligious Dialogue and the Ethics of Peace". She specialises in normative political philosophy, liberal theory and in particular the work of John Rawls. Her research focuses on moral stability, pluralism and the principles of reciprocity, tolerance, equality and social justice.
