I am a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. I work at the intersection of philosophy of mind and cognitive science, philosophy of social science, and social philosophy.
My dissertation, supervised by Profs. Michael L. Anderson and Scott Schaffer, synthesizes Gibsonian ecological psychology with Bourdieusian social theory to advance an account of affordance perception and action in socially structured environments. More broadly, my work integrates radical embodied approaches to cognition with social theory to better understand human behavior in society.
