I'm a PhD student in political science at Yale. I'm writing a book, Democracy After the Executive Revolution, about the rise of democratic executives in modern liberal democracies and its implications for how we understand our political problems, institutions, and ideals today. In the US in particular, I'm interested in the challenges and opportunities posed by the modern presidency for American democracy. Previously, I was a Yenching Scholar at Peking University, a US Marine Corps artillery officer, and a Research Associate at Harvard Business School.
