I'm a philosopher of science and a philosopher of biology interested in the topics of explanation and causation. In particular, my work has focused on the relationship between various concepts of causal-explanatory structures in the life sciences, such as mechanisms, pathways, and cascades.
Besides explanation and causation, I'm also interested in the role philosophers of science may play in the science communication. In particular, whether philosophers of science share certain responsibilities with other agents (e.g., politicians, scientists, media, etc.) in ameliorating the crisis of trust in science.
