Wecio Araujo

Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraíba. Visiting researcher at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). PhD in philosophy from the Integrated Program UFPE/UFPB/UFRN, with PDSE/CAPES internship at HGB/Leipzig (Germany). Leader of NÓS - Center for Research in Social Philosophy (UFPB/CNPq), where he coordinates two lines of research: i) Ontology and dialectics in Hegel and Marx; ii) Ideology and subjectivity in the capitalist social experience. He has experience in the areas of critical social theory, social philosophy, and political philosophy, with a focus on the following topics: ontology and dialectics in Hegel and Marx; critique of ideology, critique of political economy, critique of value, and critique of technological forms of social domination. Permanent professor in the Graduate Program in Social Work at UFPB. Member of the Critical Theory Working Group/ANPOF and the Brazilian Hegel Society. Author of two books and dozens of articles and book chapters.
