It is well documented that self-control has a positive effect on individuals’ subjective well-being. However, little research has focused on the moderators underlying this relationship. The present research used two studies to examine the moderating role of both trait and state motivation on the relationship between self-control and subjective well-being using psychometric and experimental models, respectively. In Study 1, we explored whether trait motivation moderated the relationship between trait self-control and subjective well-being using a psychometric model. In Study 2, we examined the moderating effects of both trait and state motivation on the effect of state self-control on subjective well-being using an experimental model. Our results indicated that self-control had a positive effect on subjective well-being, with this relationship being primarily moderated by prevention motivation. When state and trait prevention motivations were congruent, self-control had the most obvious impact on subjective well-being. This study suggests that current understandings around the association between self-control and happiness is limited, implying that motivation should be the focus of future research.

Transportation is an important infrastructure for the development of agricultural economy and trade, which has a driving effect on agricultural structural adjustment, farmers' income increase and agricultural modernisation, and strengthening the infrastructure of the transportation industry is of great significance to the development of agricultural economy and trade. This paper selects the relevant data in Xinjiang from 1990 to 2023, and uses the VAR model to analyse the impact of transport inputs and outputs on the agricultural economy, and the conclusions are as follows: There is a long-term stable interactive relationship between agriculture and transport industry in Xinjiang, and there is a long-term stable interactive relationship between agricultural economy and trade and transport industry in Xinjiang, forming a pattern of stable development. In order to better promote the development of agricultural economy and trade, enhance the energy level of agricultural industry and promote agricultural modernisation, it is necessary to strengthen the supporting role of transportation, simultaneously improve the level of agricultural mechanisation, develop smart agriculture and digital agriculture based on the advantages of agricultural resources, and promote the transformation and upgrading of agriculture. Data from 1990-2023 show that when the scale of Xinjiang's transport industry expands (especially the growth of freight volume), the agricultural economy shows a clear upward trend, indicating that the transport industry continues to promote the agricultural economy. It is recommended to increase investment in Xinjiang's transport infrastructure, improve the transport network, enhance freight transport security capacity, and support the high-quality development of the agricultural economy.

The concept of social entrepreneurship emerged as a significant factor that contributes toward public welfare and prosperity. Recent studies showed that social entrepreneurship influences the economic growth and sustainability of the state. Therefore, the underlying aim of this study was to investigate the impact of social entrepreneurship on sustainable economic growth and value creation. This study also undertook to observe the mediating role of innovation in the relationship between social entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth and between social entrepreneurship and value creation. A questionnaire technique was adopted to obtain data from 343 tour operators in China. The Smart-PLS software was used to analyze the data through the aid of a structural equation modelling (SEM) technique. The results revealed that social entrepreneurship has an effect on sustainable economic growth and value creation. The results also demonstrated that innovation has an effect on sustainable economic growth and value creation. Moreover, it was also observed that innovation mediated the relationship between social entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth and between social entrepreneurship and value creation. Theoretically, this study made a valuable contribution by examining the impact of social entrepreneurship on sustainable economic growth and value creation and innovation as a mediator. In terms of practical implications, this study would certainly aid the policymakers to devise policies and strategies aim to encourage and promote social entrepreneurship. Moreover, future studies can introduce other mediating and moderating variables in order to gain a deeper insight into the phenomenon.
