My research focuses on Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy, with a particular emphasis on Plato. My book manuscript, Charting the Non-Ideal: Plato on Ignorance, Vice, and Disease, is complete and currently under review. Two of my papers related to this project—one on ignorance/vice at the individual level and the other at the political level—are revised and resubmitted . Beyond this work, I have recently turned my attention to themes of love and care in ancient philosophy, with working papers on curiosity and civic friendship in Plato. I also have papers on civic friendship in Mohism and curiosity in Confucianism in the pipeline.
