I am a political theorist who studies inequalities in democracies. Broadly interested in democratic theory and egalitarianism, my work examines how membership in democratic political communities is articulated and negotiated, not only as a matter of formal rights (such as legal citizenship), but as a matter of everyday democratic practices and norms, discourses, emotions, and belonging.
