I have a medical degree (University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital) and a PhD in philosophy of medicine and bioethics (Macquarie University). I have two further research degrees in bioethics (MRes, Macquarie University; MSc, KU Leuven, Radboud University, University of Padua) and am a qualified physician (MD, University of the Philippines).
