Hello, I am Yvette Drissen and I am currently working as an assistant professor at the Philosophy Department and as a postdoc at the Academic Collaborative Center (ACC) for an Inclusive Labor Market, both at Tilburg University (the Netherlands).
I work on topics such as the ethics of competition, socio-economic inequalities, distributive and relational (in)justice, meritocracy, self-esteem/self-worth, burnout/stress, and diversity, inclusion and equity, all of which in the context of the workplace, the labor market and education. To me, it is important to do societally engaged philosophy. This is why I am grateful to be able to take part in the ACC and contribute to building a network with researchers from various disciplines as well as societal partners ranging from governmental organizations, NGO's and (family) businesses. Together we aim to make the labor market more inclusive and equitable.
