Zoi Marmara

My research focuses on the intersection of philosophy, psychology, and AI ethics, with particular attention to how algorithmic systems shape human cognition, authenticity, and moral life. I am currently exploring whether artificial intelligence can meaningfully engage in philosophy and how human existence is redefined in technological societies. My main areas of interest include the moral status of artificial systems, machine ethics, machine consciousness, and broader debates on machine mentality. I also examine the wider impact of AI on human flourishing, with a secondary interest in discussions of the technological singularity. Through this work, I seek to integrate philosophical reflection with ethical design and human-centered approaches to AI.
