67Aeqvor: The sea of prophecies in Virgil's aeneidClassical Quarterly 64 (2): 694-706. 2014.In a well-known article, Hodnett pointed out that Virgil emphasizes the peacefulness and quiet of the sea, its immensity and limitlessness, in contrast to the view articulated by the Roman poets of the Republic, which presents the sea as deceptive and fearsome. Among the many terms used in theAeneidto denote the sea, aequorstands out precisely because it is the term most frequently used by Virgil in place of the wordmare.

85La actualidad de la hermenéutica. Entrevista a Jean Grondin y Ramón RodríguezLogos.

The Need of Absolute PerfectionRevista Española de Filosofía Medieval 18 179. 2011.In this paper I study the attribute of God ́s omnipotence in Francisco Suárez. The need, perfection and infinity of the divine essence qualify this attribute crucially; potence belongs to God himself, who –as an infinite being- contains all possible perfection. God contains all by its nature, because He contains every possibility, which is infinite. Thus, undestanding Himself, God understands everything, because He contains all in its essence.

76El deseo intelectual como constitutivo formal de la mente en Nicolás de CusaQuaestio 15 783-793. 2015.The possibility of the knowledge of God is a significant question in the philosophy of Nicolás of Cusa. This leads to a particular natural theology with its corresponding method of knowledge, in which the intellectual desire is a constituent element which is knowledge in itself. The desire is the natural way to tend towards the Absolute. Desiring means somehow knowing; above all, it means knowing what it is not known and for that same reason something which cannot stop being desired. Besides, the…Read more

Esta investigación desar…Read more

32How to Develop the Humanistic Dimension in Business and Management Higher Education? In Ricardo Aguado & Almudena Eizaguirre (eds.), Virtuous Cycles in Humanistic Management: From the Classroom to the Corporation, Springer Verlag. pp. 3-20. 2020.Society faces the challenge of achieving sustainable development in the economic, social and environmental spheres. To achieve this, education in business schools has an important role when it comes to training future main actors of the political, economic and institutional decisions. This chapter proposes two complementary courses of action. On the one hand, it is important to educate for humanism, and, at the same time, this cannot be achieved without educating in a humanistic way. To educate …Read more

147The essential role of creativity has been highlighted in several human knowledge areas. Regarding the neural underpinnings of creativity, there is evidence about the role of left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and left inferior frontal gyrus (IFG) on divergent thinking (DT) and convergent thinking (CT). Transcranial stimulation studies suggest that the left DLPFC is associated with both DT and CT, whereas left IFG is more related to DT. However, none of the previous studies have targeted…Read more

176The concept of brain death did not evolve to benefit organ transplantsJournal of Medical Ethics 33 (4): 197-200. 2007.Although it is commonly believed that the concept of brain death was developed to benefit organ transplants, it evolved independently. Transplantation owed its development to advances in surgery and immunosuppressive treatment; BD owed its origin to the development of intensive care. The first autotransplant was achieved in the early 1900s, when studies of increased intracranial pressure causing respiratory arrest with preserved heartbeat were reported. Between 1902 and 1950, the BD concept was …Read more
