A Chair for Minkowski. An exdurantist solution to the problem of relativistic change
with Damiano Costa and Claudio Calosi
    Philosophical Quarterly. forthcoming.
This paper addresses the problem of relativistic change. This problem originates from the fact that while we ordinarily conceive of objects as having relatively invariant shapes, relativity seems to imply that their shape may vary dramatically across different reference frames. While the problem was originally presented by Sattig (2015) as affecting perdurantism, we propose that it equally affects endurantism and argue that exdurantism is naturally immune from it.

    Fine’s Monster Objection Defanged
with Damiano Costa and Claudio Calosi
    Philosophical Quarterly 73 (2): 435-451. 2023.
The Monster Objection has often been considered one of the main reasons to explore non-standard mereological views, such as hylomorphism. Still, it has been rarely discussed and then only in a cursory fashion. This paper fills this gap by offering the first thorough assessment of the objection. It argues that different metaphysical stances, such as presentism and three- and four-dimensionalism, provide different ways of undermining the objection.
