Alvaro David Monterroza-Rios

Alvaro David Monterroza-Rios is Full Professor of Philosophy of Technology and Design at the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano (ITM) in Medellín, Colombia. His research focuses on the philosophy of technology, artifact ontology, material culture, and the epistemology of technical practices. His work explores the heterogeneous nature of technical artefacts and their role in shaping human cultures and sociotechnical environments. He has published on artifact theory, technological change, and the philosophy of design, and is currently developing an ecological-material approach to artefacts and technological systems.
