My work lies at the intersection of German idealism, political philosophy, and the theory of institutions. I study how Kant and Hegel can illuminate contemporary crises of the state, democracy, nihilism, and technological power, while also exploring literature, film, and critical theory as sites of philosophical diagnosis. Recent work includes an interview with Wendy Brown on neoliberalism, identity, and the reconstruction of an emancipatory left.
