Daniel Simão Nascimento

Daniel Simão Nascimento is a professor of moral and political philosophy in the department of philosophy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He did his masters (2005-2007) and doctorate (2009-2013) in Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). During his doctorate he spent a year researching under the supervision of prof. Annick Jaulin at the Sorbonne (2011-2012), and after finishing his doctorate he was post-doctorate researcher at the department of philosophy of the Federal University of Pelotas (2013-2106), and at the department of philosophy of the Federal University of Santa Maria (2018/01-08). He is currently an assistant professor on a tenure track on the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a member of de Post Graduate Program in Logics and Metaphysics (PPGLM/UFRJ), the leader of two research groups - FIAT - Philosophy, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (UFRJ/CNPQ) and Philosophy and Political Theory (UFRJ/CNPQ) - and a member of three other research groups - PRAGMA (UFRJ/CNPQ), OUSIA (UFRJ/CNPQ) and POLYPHONÍA (UNIRIO/CNPQ).
