My primary research interest is the history of early modern and modern philosophy, particularly the works of women philosophers. I have published on Margaret Cavendish, Mary Shepherd, Elizabeth Hamilton, Mary Astell, Anne Conway, and Joanna Baillie, as well as on Descartes and Hume. I am the series editor of Hackett Publishing's new series, Early Modern and Modern Women Philosophers, and in July 2020 I became Editor of the Journal of the History of Philosophy.
