My doctoral dissertation explored the philosophical question of how argumentation can happen without complex language, but with non-verbal symbols that rely on the heuristic principles of bounded rationality. I show how multimodal argumentation is based on the rationality of the heuristic functions that are involved in the reasoning process of a mental representation.
