My research focuses on metaphysics, philosophy of science, philosophy of physics, and epistemology – and extends into logic and feminist philosophy as well. Specific research programs include: theories of centered, indexical phenomena; typicality; scientifically up-to-date metaphysics; identity and higher-order languages; social philosophy; and the fundamentality of explanation as formalized by structural equation models.
