Jean-Baptiste Dussert

Born in 1975, I studied Philosophy (Ph.D. at Paris-West 10 University, under the supervision of Pr François Laruelle) and Modern Letters (M.Litt. at Paris-Sorbonne 4 University). I currently give lectures at Paris-Nanterre University in the PHILLIA UFR (Philosophy, Information-Communication, Languages, Literature, Performing Arts) as part of the Master 1 and Master 2 Humanities and Creative Industries courses. I am particularly interested in the creative and cultural industries and the information and communication sciences from a philosophical perspective. I also teach at the Université Paris-Saclay as part of the Certificat d'initiation à la diplomatie for Chinese students. I have previously taught general culture, the history of philosophy and the philosophy of art at the Université Paris-Sud (in partnership with the Ecole du Louvre) and the Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. My research topics are Modern Philosophy (from Descartes to Phenomenology), Non-philosophy (Fr. Laruelle), Aesthetics and Philosophy of Literature (18th and 20th centuries).
