Jean-Baptiste Dussert

Born in 1975, I studied philosophy (PhD at Paris-Ouest 10 University, under the supervision of Professor François Laruelle) and modern literature (Master's degree at Paris-Sorbonne 4 University). I currently teach at Paris-Nanterre University, within the UFR PHILLIA (Philosophy, Information-Communication, Languages, Literature, Performing Arts), as part of the Master's 1 and 2 programmes in humanities and creative industries, as well as in the Bachelor's programme. I am particularly interested in the creative and cultural industries, as well as information and communication sciences from a philosophical perspective. I also teach at Paris-Saclay University, as part of the Introductory Certificate in Diplomacy for Chinese students, and at Efrei. I previously taught general culture, history of philosophy and philosophy of art at Paris-Sud University (in partnership with the École du Louvre) and at Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University. My research interests are mainly modern philosophy (from Descartes to phenomenology), non-philosophy (Fr. Laruelle), aesthetics and the philosophy of literature (18th and 20th centuries).
