Julian Friedland is a French-American philosopher and ethicist focused on activating moral reasoning and agency via moral self-awareness and AI design. Before coming to UCONN, he was associate professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver and assistant professor at Trinity College Dublin. He also taught at the University of Toulouse, George Washington University, Fordham, and the University of Colorado. His work appears in such venues as Academy of Management Perspectives, Journal of Business Ethics, MIT Sloan Management Review, Philosophical Investigations, New York Times, Irish Times, Boston Globe, and Chronicle of Higher Education.
