Leandro Ortolan is a philosopher and researcher focused on the intersection of digital technologies and human suffering. His work explores the digital representation of individuality, particularly subjective experience, and applies innovative approaches to address long-standing human challenges like pain. By integrating computational models with human behaviour, Ortolan strives to create solutions that promote a more positive life. His research spans digital health, applied ethics in technology, and the use of AI to predict and mitigate human suffering. He is currently a PhD candidate (FCT 2025.04073.BDANA) at the University of Porto.
