I am an Associate Lecturer and Honorary Research Fellow in philosophy at the University of Exeter, working from a broadly neo-Aristotelian perspective at the intersection of practical ethics, phenomenology, and philosophical anthropology. My overarching interest is in the value of the living world, our place within it, and appropriate technological usage of it, motivated by the conviction that modern Western thought has generally failed to account for all three – a deficiency that is now having disastrous environmental consequences, and debatable biotechnological ones.
