Makoto Sueyoshi（SUEY）

Manga artist and performer, and co-founder of AlternativeMethod — a philosophical-artistic practice that treats theory and art not as separate domains, but as a single movement. Through manga, street performance, food truck social experiments, and academic writing, I develop Flovien Theory (翻訳的存在論 / Translational Ontology): a transcendental inquiry into the conditions of ontological description, asking not "What exists?" but "How is ontological description possible?" Core concepts include Qualions (minimal units of describability), Translation Resistance, and Dual-Mode Describability, grounded in Fisher information geometry and engaging Whitehead, Simondon, and Madhyamaka thought. Each mode of practice is not an illustration of the theory — it is the theory applying itself. Based in Kitakyushu, Japan.
