He was a research fellow at Peking University's Department of Chinese Language and Literature in 2016. As an associate lecturer, he has previously worked at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the University of Salamanca and Blanquerna-Universitat Ramon Llull, where he taught modern and contemporary Chinese thought, Chinese literature and Chinese/Spanish translation, among other subjects.
He has participated in several research projects within the ALTER research group (UOC) funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, such as "China-Spain Archive. A Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of Interactions between China and Spain (1850-1950) and their Impact On Colonial and Cross-Cultural Studies" (2017-2019), "Taphonomies of Cross-Cultural Knowledge: Interactions between Europe and East Asia in the 19th and 20th centuries" (2020-2023), "Digital Translations and the Production of Knowledge about China: Ethnography and Action Research" (DigiTrans, 2020-2023), and "Cross-Regional and Multidimensional Interactions in China's Reform and Opening Up: 1968-1992" (CROSS-CHINA, 2024-2027).
His research interests focus on translation in the humanities and social sciences, modern and contemporary Chinese thought and literature, translation history and translation sociology.
