Marta Dias Barcelos, PhD, is a researcher at the Centre for the Humanities, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University of Lisbon (Portugal) and a visiting researcher at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. (USA), where she is conducting a project focused on the role of autonomy in public health issues, supported by the Luso-American Development Foundation. She holds a PhD in Moral and Political Philosophy from NOVA University of Lisbon, and a Master's degree in Bioethics from the University of Lisbon.
