I am a visiting assistant research professor at the University of Notre Dame. I work on various topics in ethics and aesthetics within what I consider a (broadly) Platonic tradition of thought. I'm presently writing about the role of the imagination in moral thought, the relationship between conceptual loss and what I call "conceptual retrieval," and the moral promises and problems with aesthetic representations of suffering. When I grow up, I hope to write about Marcel Proust.
