Srajana Kaikini is an assistant professor of philosophy at the School of Interwoven Arts and Sciences, Krea University. She received her PhD in Philosophy from the Manipal Centre for Humanities, Manipal University in 2019. She did her curatorial studies at de Appel’s Curatorial Programme 2012-13, Amsterdam. She holds a Masters in Arts and Aesthetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and has a graduate degree in Architecture. Latest independent curatorial works include Backstage of Biology at Archives at National Centre for Biological Sciences (2019) and Vectors of Kinship (2016) at 11th Shanghai Biennale. Her research publications have appeared in journals like The Deleuze Studies: India Special Issue, Kunstlicht Special Issue: Translation as Method and Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics. Her doctoral research focussed on developing a philosophy of curatorial practice with a focus on ontology of relations. Her research interests include aesthetics, curatorial studies, arts pedagogy, kinship and relations, philosophy of language, philosophy of art, image, cinema and space.
